Three adult rhinos and one calf were found dead at the Mkhuze Game Reserve in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa on Saturday.

The rhinos had been shot two days earlier reckoned experts and the adult rhinos had all been dehorned.

South Africa is home to more than 90 per cent of the rhino populations with about 20,000 specimens of which over 1,150 were killed last year.

Previous years saw 333 rhinos killed in 2010, 448 in 2011, 668 in 2012 and 1,004 killed in 2013, according to numbers by the Department of Environmental Affairs.
