A stray cat in Lucedale, Mississippi that was fed for weeks by a family broke out of the shelter to come back to them.
The cat, named Mr Fancy, met the Bosches last year when he appeared in their garden and Ann Bosche started putting out bowls of food and water for him. After a month or so they decided to take him to the shelter so he could be adopted by a loving family because they already had two cats and a dog.
After leaving him at the shelter 5 miles away, Ann said she was very upset and apparently so was the cat because he ran away from there only 20 minutes after arrival.
A month later Ann woke up to find her husband talking to Mr Fancy in the kitchen.
“I started crying and quietly said ‘Oh my baby, Hi Fancy’”, Bosche told Care2. “He turned, saw me and ran to me, talking and squealing the whole way. I truly think he was saying, ‘I found you! I’m home now.’”
“This cat spent a month travelling along busy streets, railroad lines, and rough neighbourhoods trying to find me. I think he had a guardian angel looking out for him, directing him back to my house.”
“He belongs here. Mr Fancy will never want for a home, food or love again.”
