A pit bull rescued in North Carolina was born with his front paws bent backwards by the wrists, a rare deformity that forced him to walk on his wrists causing him a lot of pain.

Luckily now, 4-month-old Roscoe received reconstructive surgery and will be able to walk on his paws like a normal dog thanks to the Asheville Humane Society who raised over $3,000 for him.

Vet David Crouch, who operated on Roscoe, said the poor dog was “trying to walk on the tops of his wrists and created bloody sores.”

According to his foster parent, Roscoe is now learning how to walk and is making huge improvement.
