Tiger in the package
We've all heard about people trying to mail strange things, but Mexican smugglers will surely surprise you! The Federal Police of Mexico published several photos and a shocking story on February 7, 2018. By sharing photos on Facebook , the officers said that their sniffer dog found a sealed box with a Bengal tiger inside.
According to the New York Post, the tiger cub was packed in a blue plastic container. The baby was unconscious, in a state of dehydration. The package was mailed from Jalisco State in Western Mexico to an address in Santiago de Queretaro, a city in Central Mexico.
The Bengal tiger was surrounded by pieces of newspaper that were supposed to act as upholstery. The person who sent the tiger cub via express mail did not leave him any food or water, however, he made holes in the boxes to ensure the flow of air.
Now Bengal's health is not in danger, he is in the care of the Department of Natural Resources, and the case is still being investigated. Thanks to the perfect scent of the shepherd, the tiger cub has been saved and is now safe!
