Approved the list of 12 dangerous dog breeds in Russia
Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has approved a list of potentially dangerous dogs. It includes 12 breeds: akbash, American bandog, ambuldog, Brazilian bulldog, Bully Kutta, Alapakh purebred bulldog (Otto), bandog, wolf-dog hybrids, wolf-dog, gul-dong, pit bull mastiff, North Caucasian dog, as well as mestizos of these species.
Some of the breeds are exotic for our country, for example, gul-dong is a Pakistani bulldog, and bully kutta is a Pakistani mastiff. From the list of dangerous dogs on the Russian streets there are chances to meet American bulldog and Caucasian shepherd .
On our own, we add that some of the breeds were written with an error, for example, a gul dog (correctly a gul-dong, as at the beginning of the article), and a breed with the name "pit bull mastiff" does not exist at all. Meant the government bullmastiff , pit bull , or some other breed – so far we can only guess.
Originally the list included 69 breeds, including quite harmless ones labradors and sharpeyev , as well as non-existent breeds. This caused confusion among many people, but even now there are enough dissatisfied. So, some dog handlers believe that the dog is dangerous because of improper upbringing, not the breed; it is necessary to keep the animal on a leash and put a muzzle on it in any case.
How will the amendment to the law affect owners of potentially dangerous dogs? When walking pets, a muzzle and a leash are required. For their absence, punishment is expected – from a fine to criminal liability. In addition, walking these dogs is prohibited on the territory of schools and hospitals.
